Evolve at Balmoral Show 2025!

Evolve at Balmoral Show 2025!

Posted: 14 May, 2025

Evolve is excited to return to the Balmoral Show for 2025, Northern Ireland’s biggest agricultural event. The show is an excellent opportunity to engage and connect with both the farming and non-farming communities about our shared energy future.

Visitors can find the Evolve team at Stand A18, where they’ll be available across all four days of the festival to answer questions about connecting to the gas network in the west of Northern Ireland, advise about current connection offers, and talk through the benefits of switching to gas. The Evolve marquee has a number of fun and interesting activities lined up, including the ‘Race to net zero’ and ‘Connecting pipes and people’ games, a ‘Pollination Station’, and interactive displays.

Another key reason for Evolve’s presence at the Balmoral Show is to highlight our work with biomethane – a green gas made from organic, agricultural waste. It presents a key opportunity to encourage both current and potential producers of biogas to consider upgrading their plants so that they have the capability to generate biomethane. In late 2023, Evolve achieved a historic milestone by overseeing the first-ever direct injection of biomethane into the gas grid on the island of Ireland, marking the start of a transformative journey by the company to fully decarbonise its gas network by 2030.

David Butler, Director at Evolve, said: “We are delighted to be returning to the Balmoral Show this year, providing a great opportunity to highlight the immediate and long-term benefits gas can bring to homes and businesses in our network area.

“With gas being cleaner and more efficient compared to oil and solid fuel, our infrastructure will ultimately play a key role in decarbonising the west of Northern Ireland, particularly with the latest biomethane developments in our network. Make sure to pay us a visit and speak to our dedicated team to find out more."
