Evolve celebrates successful debut at the Omagh Show
Posted: 09 Jul, 2026
Evolve made a successful first appearance at the Omagh Show, as thousands of visitors descended on the Tyrone town for the event's 184th edition.
Following on from recent appearances at the Balmoral Show and Strabane’s Summer Jamm, the Omagh Show provided an added opportunity to speak with local residents, businesses and the agricultural sector about the benefits of connecting to the gas network, and the exciting renewable energy developments taking place in the Evolve network in the form of biomethane.
The Evolve stand, on Main Avenue, attracted strong interest throughout the day, with the interactive "Bash Blinky" arcade game proving a major draw for visitors. The game gave attendees the chance to test their punching power, while learning more about the transition from traditional heating systems to cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
Congratulations also go to Ruth McIllwaine, who was selected as the winner of a family pass to the show through Evolve’s competition.
Evolve looks forward to continuing to engage with communities across the west of Northern Ireland in the months ahead.
Since going live in 2020, the network recently celebrated passing the 5,000 connection mark, while also facilitating the first-ever direct-to-grid injection of biomethane on the island of Ireland.
It is a combination that reflects Evolve's dual focus on present-day connections whilst playing a leading role in the longer-term energy transition.
