Evolve’s new Transportation Services Manager encourages women to “find what you love and do it”

Working her way up from Administration Assistant to Transportation Services Manager for one of Northern Ireland’s gas distribution network operators, Sinéad Lynch’s career journey has come full circle as she celebrates the new role, tying in with International Women’s Day.
Evolve’s Sinéad Lynch is celebrating a major career milestone this International Women’s Day, having progressed to the role of Transportation Services Manager at the gas network operator, with her journey reflecting years of dedication and determination at the company.
Sinéad has been with Evolve for over eight years and has worked her way up from Administration Assistant to Transportation Services and Regulatory Support Officer to the role of Transportation Services Manager, which was confirmed in the past week.
In her role, Sinéad serves communities in west of Northern Ireland where Evolve operates, from Artigarvan, Coalisland, Cookstown, Derrylin, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Magherafelt, to Omagh and Strabane. The position involves managing the transportation of gas through the network and making sure gas suppliers can effectively supply gas to customers on the network as well as ensuring Evolve is compliant with both the Network Code and the Distribution licence.
She says the strong female presence within her regulation team, particularly in senior roles, shows that women are achieving and thriving in Evolve.

Sinéad studied at the Institute of Technology in Sligo and earned a degree in Marketing and German.
“I started in January 2018 and it's been really exciting to watch the company go from strength to strength and celebrate milestones over the years.
Since going live in 2020, the Evolve network recently celebrated passing the 5,000 connection mark, while also facilitating the first-ever direct-to-grid injection of biomethane on the island of Ireland. It is a combination that reflects Evolve’s dual focus on present day connections whilst playing a leading role in the longer-term energy transition for Northern Ireland.
