Jill wins £1,500 natural gas boiler for family’s new Strabane home

The lucky Strabane winner of the recent SGN Natural Gas Facebook competition with a Vaillant boiler worth £1,500 up for grabs, has been presented with her fabulous prize.
Local resident Jill McGarrigle is delighted to have won the 30kw VaillantecoFIT pure boiler and is now looking forward to having natural gas connected to her family’s new home in the town.
The mum-of-four is a big fan of natural gas instant heating and hot water having had a very positive experience of its benefits as the domestic fuel supply chosen in a previous home.
Jill, who will be moving into a brand new home in Strabane with her husband and children in the coming months, said she was delighted that natural gas is now also available in the Co. Tyrone town, through the Gas to the West project.
Thanking SGN Natural Gas and Vaillant for the opportunity to win a new eco-friendly boiler worth £1,500, Jill said: “I am delighted to have won the competition. I have used natural gas before when living in Derry and can’t wait to have the ease and convenience of instant hot water and heating in our new home which is currently nearing completion.”
Darren Young, Head of Business Development with SGN Natural Gas, thanked everyone who entered the popular competition to celebrate the launch of its new Facebook page, he also gave his thanks to Vaillant for providing the fantastic prize.
Congratulating Jill on winning the new boiler, Darren added: “We were really delighted with the response to the competition on our Facebook page which is an excellent way of keeping local communities informed about the significant progress we are making to bring natural gas to eight main towns in Counties Tyrone, Derry and Fermanagh through Gas to the West.

The competition winner was chosen in spectacular fashion by talented local balloon modeller Ryan Tracey who broke a Guinness World Record during his performance on Britain's Got Talent earlier this year.
Catherine Russell, Regional Sales Manager for Vaillant, also congratulated the competition winner and wished the Strabane family all the best with moving into their new home, adding:
“I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to meet Jill to present her with her new Vaillant boiler and we look forward to many more customers in the Western Region enjoying the benefits of natural gas in the months and years ahead.”
Natural gas burns more cleanly, emits lower levels of harmful emissions and produces less greenhouse gases than other fossil fuels. It also removes the need for bulky deliveries as it is instantaneous with easy to budget bill payments and electronic top-ups available.
Strabane is the first of eight main towns to benefit from the £250m Gas to the West infrastructure project which is scheduled to supply gas mains and metres to 40,000 customers over the next 40 years in Cookstown, Coalisland, Derrylin, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Magherafelt,Omagh and Strabane.
