Tempo Road fully reopens ahead of schedule

Evolve is delighted to announce that the Tempo Road in Enniskillen has now fully reopened following a partial road closure to facilitate mains laying for the installation of new gas pipes. This is more than ten days ahead of schedule, with the road originally scheduled to reopen at the beginning of July after works began on 20th May.
The company, which owns the gas network in the west of Northern Ireland, has been connecting customers to the grid in towns including Coalisland, Cookstown, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Magherafelt, Omagh, and Strabane. Significant construction works are continuing across the region amid increasing demand for gas conversions in the area on this project in the Co. Fermanagh town is still ongoing, with the project expected to be finished by the end of August, with any ongoing work causing minimal disruption. Access for emergency services will continue to be maintained at all times.
The road closure was situated at the roundabout that connects with Cherrymount Link Road running to the junction that meets Wickham Place and Castlecoole Road. Town-bound traffic has been diverted along Crannog Way, Irvinestown Road and Dublin Road.
Mark Davidson, Head of Engineering with Evolve, commented: “We are delighted that the Tempo Road has officially reopened, just over one month since works began to install new infrastructure that will allow residents in the local area to enjoy the many benefits of gas.”
“I would like to thank the public for their cooperation while the road was partially closed, as well as the local contractors whose hard work and efficiency has allowed for the road to reopen ahead of schedule. Evolve continuously strives to minimise inconvenience for residents and traders in the vicinity of our works through ongoing direct community engagement,”
“By switching to gas, residents in Enniskillen will be taking important steps in future proofing their homes and reducing their carbon footprint.”
