New 1-1 appointments service launched
Posted: 27 Jul, 2020
SGN Natural Gas has launched a brand, new service enabling customers to book a 1-1 appointment for a remote consultation with our connections team.
Prior to COVID-19 the SGN Natural Gas connection information roadshow regularly visited towns in our network area, inviting the public to come along and find out about the availability of natural gas as the new fuel of choice for homes and businesses in the west of Northern Ireland.
Darren Young, Head of Business Development with SGN Natural Gas, said the company was keen to ensure that customers living in connectable postcode areas still had an opportunity to engage directly with the connections team to discuss the installation process as soon as possible.
He explained that appointments currently available through the new booking section of the SGN Natural Gas website, are intended for customers who have established they are in a connectable or soon to be connectable area by using the interactive postcode checker.
The 1-1 appointments are an excellent opportunity to ask any additional questions customers may have around converting their home to natural gas and connection offers currently available to eligible householders such as £500 cashback and 0% finance (APR Representative).
Mr Young said: “We are looking forward to our connection information roadshow returning to local venues to meet consumers face to face again as soon as possible to answer any questions they may have around converting to natural gas. However, as part of our ongoing efforts to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we will be hosting 1-1 ‘virtual’ information sessions for the safety of the public and our team which is at the heart of everything we do.”
“Instead of attending a drop-in event in your local town, over the coming weeks customers who have checked that natural gas is live in their area by using the quick postcode search on the website, can now book an online appointment for a remote consultation with their local domestic sales representative.”
“Customers can also choose whether they wish their appointment to take place over the telephone or by video call which many people have become accustomed to using during the recent COVID-19 restrictions on face to face meetings. This new bespoke appointment service also means you can arrange to speak with a member of our team from the comfort of your own home or even while you are out and about at the selected time.”
“We are looking forward to connecting many more homes and businesses to natural gas in our network area.”
